Hernan Maestre is partner and advisor to Tradelink. Because of his experience in the communication sector, Hernan has been great help to our company. He is director and founder of Focus, a strategic and financial consulting boutique
specialized in the communications, media and entertainment sectors, representing the Yankee Group for Colombia, Venezuela, Panama, Ecuador, and Perú. Prior to stablishing Focus, Mr. Maestre was co-founder of Cellnet, an authorized distributor of cellular and wireless products, services and accessories. Since 1994, he has acted as Chairman of the Board of the company, recognized as one of the top distributors at a national level.
Previously, Hernan worked during eight years at Bankers Trust Latin American Merchant Banking Department, serving as its representative in Colombia and Vice-President of the Andean Caribbean
Unit in New York, where he was actively involved in the structure, proposal, negotiation, and pricing of debt/equity conversions, mergers and acquisitions and swaps transactions. He conducted due diligence, drafted prospective, and designed and built
computer models to analyze financing alternatives and interacted extensively with clients, Government Agencies, legal counsel, and institutional investors.
He is a member of the board of the Chamber of Commerce of Barranquilla, Country Motors and serves as advisor to the board of TermoCartagena. He has been a member of the board of Empresa de Telecomunicaciones de Bogotá
(ETB). Hernán holds an Economic degree from Universidad Javeriana in Bogotá and a master degree in
Agricultural Economics (MPS) from Cornell University, New
York.
